Health and social care

The work is won. The money arrives later.

You take on new packages, hire carers and put cars on the road. Wages go out every week. The first payment for that work lands weeks later.

Versoix is a commercial finance broker. We are not a lender. We work with UK limited companies and LLPs that provide care.

  • No upfront fee. 1% only when you take the funding.
  • One person on your case, start to finish.
  • If it won't fit, we'll tell you.
A care van on its round between homes

Which of these sounds like you?

You've won a contract or a block of new packages

Carers need recruiting, training and paying before the first invoice is paid.

Ways to solve it

  • A working capital loan to cover wages and recruitment until payments catch up.
  • We can approach lenders who finance vehicles and equipment.

Payments are late. Wages aren't.

If invoices sit unpaid for weeks, the gap lands on your bank account.

Ways to solve it

  • Some lenders advance money against invoices you've already raised. We'll check whether yours qualify before we approach anyone.
  • A working capital loan if your invoices don't qualify.

Your new carers don't have a car

Hiring locally often means hiring people who don't drive their own car. Pool or leased cars keep the rounds covered.

Ways to solve it

  • We can approach lenders who finance vehicles and equipment.
  • Asset finance can pay for a new asset, or raise money against assets you already own.

You're opening a branch or buying another provider

A new office needs fitting out, staff and registration before it earns. Buying a business needs money up front.

Ways to solve it

  • A business loan for set-up costs.
  • Equipment finance for the kit a new branch needs.
  • We can approach lenders who fund the purchase of a business.

When borrowing isn't the answer

If wage and national insurance rises outrun your fee rates every April, the gap comes back every year. A loan won't fix that. It's a pricing conversation, and we'll tell you so.

  • We check first whether your business fits, starting with your company number.
  • We write one proposal and send it only to lenders whose stated criteria you meet.
  • The lender makes the credit decision. You decide whether to take any offer.

What it costs

No upfront fee. A fee of 1% of the funding you take, payable on completion. The lender may also pay us a commission, which varies by lender.

Questions care providers ask

What will you need from me?

Usually a proposal form, your latest filed accounts and recent bank statements, plus details of anything you're buying. The checklist has the full list.

Will I have to back the borrowing personally?

Some lenders ask directors to stand behind the borrowing personally. If the lender we approach does, we'll tell you before anything is sent.

Do I have to take an offer?

No. You decide whether to take any offer.

We're a partnership. Can you help?

We work with UK limited companies and LLPs. If your business is a sole trader or partnership, leave your details and we'll be in touch.
